Flight no. AZ 407 with Alitalia from Frankfurt to Rome: When entering the plane we noticed: No air-hostess on board - only male stewards! But they served a very good supper: Grilled chicken, smoked salmon, bacon from parma and much more.

We payed Lit. 13.000 for the train-transfer from the airport Leonardo da Vinci to the central railway station where the city busses start. We took line 64 to St. Peter's Cathedral and left the bus just before it arrived at the Tiber. There we found our hotel La Rovere

A bus tour in Rome is not very comfortable, because the busses are always overcrowd. But it is a very funny adventure (if you take care of your valuables!).

The Hotel La Rovere is located in a quiet, but a little dirty small street, just in the near of St. Peter's Cathedral. The hotel has a good equipment and is highly recommended.
